Werdum despedido !?!?!?

Segundo um blog de um colunista de MMA, sim, depois de percorrer todos os sites de notícias, fórums, blogs de lutadores, já estou lendo até blog de colunista, o Werdum foi demitido pela Zuffa, aparentemente em uma disputa salarial e se junta ao Paulo Filho nos que procuram emprego, só lembrando que o P.Filho é No. 2 do ranking mundial dos MW e o Werdum é o No. 6 dos HW.

Com certeza ele deve ir pra Affliction, são os que pagam melhor e eles gostam de heavyweight, já o Paulo Filho depois da última luta deve ir pra um sanatório.

Werdum and Filho V. Zuffa; Hang Out This Weekend

Fabricio Werdum and Paulo Filho are like millions of other Americans who have lost their job in recent times. The difference is these Brazilian prizefighters were regarded as some of the best in the world at their respective weights before they lost their jobs. Zuffa's Donald Trump treatment of the high-level grapplers is indicative of two different and important positions of organization-fighter relationships.

In Werdum, the UFC loses an important heavyweight. Largely known as "Crocop's jiu-jitsu coach," he is a young and sizeable fighter who, outside of his Houston Alexander-style surprise loss against Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira protege Junior dos Santos, lost his last two fights to UFC champions Andrei Arlovski and Nogueira in competitve bouts. This alone cements he is the subject of wrongful dismissal.

The UFC has let their only consistent detraction--a weak or unintriguing heavyweight division--gain a bit of momentum. Sure, Shane Carwin and Cain Velasquez's infinite upswing and the on-going Lesnar-Couture-Mir-Nogueira tangle has more than a year's worth of fights, but Werdum is the type of fighter that can be injected into the title picture at anytime talent wise. The former fighters may not be ready and it would be unwise to push them while the latter may tire as fight draws.

Werdum is a proven commodity. He exposed Brandon Vera and Gabriel Gonzaga as not being ready to stay in the upper-tier of the heavyweight division. Cutting him opens a major door to the competition. "Vai Cavalo" may end up in Affliction, which can only bolster cries that its division is on par or stronger than the UFC's. Despite whatever contract dispute may have inspired his firing, the UFC should have made a stronger play to keep him in their constantly shifting division that is a magnet for scrutiny.

The last thing they want and we want is another UFC heavyweight 2005.

Paulo Filho, on the other hand, is a smart cut. There's no sense in keeping him under contract when he obviously has personal health issues he needs to attend to before he can fight again. The firing seems more to light a fire under the jiu-jitsu ace than to keep him out of their ranks. His bizarre perfomance like Kalib Starnes' run-around prompts his immediate firing.

That's the difference between Werdum and Filho. Werdum got caught. Filho got strange. Only the latter deserves what treatmeant may result from that. Thankfully, I believe Zuffa is only sending a message to Filho, who manager Ed Soares believes is still one of the best fighter's at 185-pounds. With the proper help, that may be true again. Let's hope he gets it, while Werdum gets his proper due somewhere soon.

As vezes o MMA é injusto. O Werdum ganhou do Napão e já estava pensando em disputar o título. Daí perdeu para o Cigano e foi dispensado.

O Napão, que perdeu para o Werdum, ganhou com um KO incontestável no último UFC e já pediu nova chance para brigar pelo título.

Dá pra entender?

É o mesmo tipo de contrato qqueriam oferecer pro Fedor... o UFC pode renegociar o seu contrato e salário qdo bem entender...

Enqto vc ta vencendo... beleza... tudo certinho, o UFC naum aumenta 1 centavo, no máximo dá uns agrados por fora...

Agora, se vc perdeu... vixi... o UFC cai matando e tenta cortar o salário, cláusula q permite isso...

Lembro muito bem q antes da luta com o Cigano, oWerdum tinha 2 ou 3 lutas ainda pelo UFC... ou seja... o q eu falei acima é bem provável de ter acontecido.

Dispensaram o Werdum não apenas pela sua derrota e sim pela sua bolsa muito alta, com certeza o pessoal do UFC devem ter pedido para diminuir o valor da bolsa após a derrota e isso não deve ter sido aceito pelo Werdum

Acho que era renovação de contrato. O contrato dele era de 4 lutas se não me engano, sendo uma delas pela disputa do cinturão, que não ocorreu.

Perdeu pro Arlovski, Ganhou do Vera, Ganhou do Napão e Perdeu pro Cigano.

Daí fica uma situação complicada pra renovar, pois, em tese, não se pode exigir muito de bolsa se ele perdeu para o Cigano que provavelemtne recebeu muito menos que ele naquela luta.

Por isso que digo que o mma é injusto, pois a derrota desbanca totalmente o lutador.

Lamentável mesmo colocando uns caras que nem esse que lutou com o Napão e deixando outros lutadores de bom nível ir embora.

O motivo porque o Werdum foi dispensado é o mesmo porque o Arona nunca vai ser contratado pelo UFC.

O estilo de luta do Werdum é horrível. Mesmo na vitória contra Napão ele não convenceu. Acho que conta também o fato de Werdum não chamar a atenção do público em nada, mesmo sendo um top 10.

Bom, pra mim tanto faz, nunca consegui torcer pro Werdum.
