O Ring of Combat, evento de MMA que está em sua 22ª edição acaba de divulgar o próximo card. O brasileiro Igor Gracie enfrentará Troy Maxwell. Dante Rivera, veterano do TUF 7 encara Paul Bradley pelo título dos médios. Confira as demais lutas:

This coming weekend is the final clump of independent shows for the year as Palace Fighting Championships, Ring of Combat, Strikeforce, and M-1 Challenge all take place. Some shows like Cage Rage and MFC take place in December but not competing against other independent shows like this weekend. One of the downsides to these clumps is when it involves multiple shows on HDNet only one can air, in this case with Strikeforce being shown instead of ROC. ROC XXII will be filmed for future broadcast, just not shown live.

Three titles are on the line at this show; the USKBA Featherweight title, ROC Lightweight title, and ROC Middleweight title. Both the ROC titles are currently vacant as Jim Miller and Nick Catone have moved on to the UFC. Chris Ligouri, himself a UFC vet, is no stranger to fighting for the ROC Lightweight title having fought Jim Miller for it twice in the past year, one loss by TKO due to a cut and one by guillotine choke. Ligouri is coming off a TKO win over Jim Bova in EliteXC in May. His opponent Corey Mahon is undefeated in smaller shows such as his armbar win over Chris Bowles in HDNet Fights last December. Mahon has finished all of his opponents and has never had a fight go past the second round.

The other ROC title features two TUF season 7 vets as Dante Rivera and Paul Bradley fight for the Middleweight title. Bradley is undefeated in shows like Legends of Fighting but was taken off TUF after the qualifying round. He is officially coming off a decision win over Patrick Horner in October. Rivera’s last fight was on the TUF 7 finale where he lost a unanimous decision to Matt Riddle. Rivera also has wins against Nissim Levy in IFL and Alex Aquino in CFFC.

Returning after four years off MMMA competition David Sachs ahs gone 3-1 in the past fourteen months with two of those wins by rear naked choke. His opponent this night, defending USKBA Featherweight champion Tim Troxell fights out of AMA Fight Club/Renzo Gracie and has gone 4-0 in that same amount of time or 6-1 since he started two years ago. Troxell is coming off an armbar win over Lester Caslow in BCX in July.

Mas não eram eles que tinham o passe do Kimbo e Cachorrão? Eu lembro que era um evento de Nova Jersey e que tinha alguns Gracies lutando lá.
