Convidado Mena I Postado September 19, 2008 Don King in MMA? Como ele mesmo costuma dizer...Only in America!! Confira o anúncio no site: http://donkingtv.com/ The possible entry of boxing promoter Don King into mixed martial arts has been the subject of rumors, speculation, and just plain idle gossip for years. But there is now some credible evidence that the man known by some as the "World's Greatest Promoter" indeed has his eyes and his vertical hair directed at these events. A new mixed martial arts company, Vengeance Fighting Championships (http://vengeancefc.com/), will be having a card, headlined by a fight between MMA veterans Jeff Monson and Mark Kerr, Sept. 27, in Concord, North Carolina. The official webcaster for this event is DonKingTV.com, the Internet TV arm of Don King Productions. If you look at their web site, at http://donkingtv.com/, you will see a poster of this Vengeance event card, with a link to the Vengeance web site. Every other fight on the DonKingTV.com site was either promoted or co-promoted by King. This is also the first mixed martial arts event featured there. At minimum, this is a trial balloon by Don King Productions to gauge interest in mixed martial arts events and webcasts. Perhaps, if this goes well, their involvement with this company and mixed martial arts as a whole will increase. King is known as one of the few major boxing promoters who actually understand that the future of media is online. How far he goes in directing his Internet TV venture to include mixed martial arts remains to be seen, but this is definitely a step in that direction. Interestingly, the same night as this Vengeance card, King will be co-promoting a boxing card, with Golden Boy Promotions, when his fighter, Ricardo Mayorga, takes on Shane Mosley in Carson, Calif, and on HBO in the U.S. It thus seems more likely that King will be at that card rather than the Vengeance one, but then again, we shall see. edilsonp 0 Postado September 19, 2008 Espero que seja mais um evento para que venha a brilhar.

Dempsey 0 Postado September 19, 2008 Grande picareta, mas entende de eventos porradísticos: Rumble in the Jungle, Thrilla in Manilla e Drama in Bahamas, só relembrando aqueles com o Ali. Rumble in the Jungle (Ali x Foreman) e Thrilla in Manilla (Ali x Frazier III) estão entre as maiores lutas da história.
