J.P. FELTY VS. JOHN KUHNER

Round 1 - A touch of gloves gets us started. Felty shoots and grabs a single leg and eventually gets the takedown. Kuhner looks for a guillotine, doesn't get it, but does get back to his feet. He breaks free of the clinch and lands a nice uppercut. Felty shoots again and drags his opponent to the mat while taking his back. Kuhner gets back up but eats a knee in the process. Kuhner answers with one of his own. Kuhner lands some nice jabs before Felty clinches and puts him against the cage. Felty lands some knees and punches before they reset. Kuhner returns fire with a few nice shots. Felty looks for a punch-takedown, but he eats a series of punches in the process. Felty is relentless, though, and gets the takedown. Kuhner wraps him up in full guard. Felty lands a few punches before Kuhner ties him up. Kuhner leaves his guard open but Felty is content with his position. Felty does little from the top, and Kuhner is just as active from the bottom. The final 30 seconds of the round largely are a stalemate.

MMAjunkie.com scores it 10-9 for Felty.

Round 2 - Felty opens with a leg kick. Kuhner answers with one of his. Felty clinches and gets the takedown, jockeys for position, and then tries to pull guard for a triangle choke. He slides off, and Kuhner now has top position. Kuhner lands some punches, and Felty rolls to his knees. Kuhner takes his back, secures his hooks and locks in the rear-naked choke. Felty frees himself but eats punches, rolls, and now is taking more punches as Kuhner is in mount position. Felty rolls again and gives up his back, and Kuhner continues the assault with heavy blows. Kuhner considers a choke again but instead delivers punches from the back mount position. The punches are taking a toll, and Felty is barely defending. The crowd is calling for a merciful stoppage, but Kuhner keeps pounding away. Felty barely is defending. He tries to buck free but now fins himself with Kuhner in a very high mount position. Kuhner then locks in a triangle choke and torques it. Kuhner finally gets the tap-out in what was a very dominant round.
