Round 1

The fighters circle for nearly a minute, exchanging measured shots before Gugerty rushes in for a takedown. Etim clinches along the cage and lands a nice short-left elbow. Referee Dan Miragliotta breaks them and Etim starts to stalk Gugerty in earnest. He snaps his head back with a jab after punctuating a punching combo with a nice leg kick. Gugerty stays out of range for the rest of the round and scores with a takedown in the closing seconds. The close first round gets a 10-10 on the Sherdog card.

Round 2 - Etim opens a bit more aggressively and spins Gugerty with a low kick. A high kick lands then another low kick wobbles Gugerty. Gugerty shoots in to counter, but Etim stuffs it and grabs an arm-in guillotine choke. Etim squeezes tight, and it looks very deep. Gugerty tries to throw a few punches, but Etim won't relent. Etim tries to roll to top position, but with a body triangle in place, he turns to his side. Gugerty finally taps after relenting in the hold for nearly a half minute.
