- PRIDE FIGHTER SALARIES FOR THE SECOND COMING

MMAWeekly has obtained the fighter salary information for Pride 33: The Second Coming, which took place on Saturday, February 24th in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The following figures are from the fighter salary information that Dream Stage Entertainment was required by law to submit to the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Although MMA fighters are not unionized, the fighters' salaries are still public record in the United States, just as with every other major sport in the US.

The question of, "How much do Pride's fighters make when they fight in Japan?" still remains unanswered, but the fighter salaries for this event do provide a great deal of insight into this question.

Given that Pride's Japan-based shows often fill the 35,000-seat Saitama Super Arena, it's likely that the salaries for the USA event were smaller than the salaries for a show in Japan, but it's unlikely that the two sets of numbers would be drastically different from one another.

Just as with UFC fighter salaries, any undisclosed bonuses that Pride also pays its fighters, but does not disclose to the athletic commissions, are not reflected in the figures below.

As with UFC salaries, we're listing "Main Event Fighters," "Main Card Fighters," and "Preliminary Fighters." All non-main-event fighter for this card are listed below as "Main Card Fighters" because there were no preliminary bouts on this card. None of the fights were taped before the show went on the air, so there were no "Preliminary Fighters."

Though our listings still note which fighters won their fights and which fighters lost, there were no winners' bonuses on this card. In addition, next to each fighter's name is the number of fights that he has had in Pride.

O que disseram antes é verdade, tem varias paradas alem da bolsa...o Pride geralmente da bonus por nocaute, finalização....se for agressivo na luta....tem uma grana pra se manter la nos dias pre e pos eventos...pros lutadores mais tops um auxilio mensal pra treinar...direito sobre jogos de video game essas coisa tb rolam...mas a bolsa é aquilo mesmo.

Tem algo que todo mundo sabe nos EUA, vc pode fazer o que quiser, contanto que não brinque com o bolso do Tio Sam. E a realidade é bem esta, eles são extremamente rigorosos com seus impostos, não pagou é CADEIA!!! Não é assim fácil de se burlar impostos lá como é feito no Brasil. Vacilou vai em cana mesmo. Por isso as empresas evitam isto e tentam burlar legalmente.

O UFC por exemplo pra aumentar os ganhos dos lutadores top e diminuuir a arrecadaçao que incide sobre a bolsa, paga uma bolsa irrisoria e dá de bonificaçao uma participaçao dos lucros, no caso PPV share. Vide Royce, Liddel, Ortiz, Couture...

Quanto ao Pride é inocencia achar que eles recém entrando no mercado americano já vao fazer a bobagem de sonegar impostos!!!

No caso deles é simples, o DSE é uma empresa sediada em outro país, logo legalmente eles podem fazer um contrato representativo, simbolico com os lutadores e pagar o restante pelo Japão. Medida conveniente para a organizaçao e para os lutadores.

Só não podem exagerar como o K1 fez alguns anos atras, pagou meros 500 dolares nos EUA para todos lutadores e depois no Japao pagou 200 -300 mil dolares para cada um dos lutadores participarem de um treino livre aberto ao publico. Isto é 500 doletas pra lutar numa semana e 300 mil dolares pra se exibir na outra... Inclusive rola um processo contra a organizaçao por causa deste evento (varias outras irregularidades e sonegaçao de impostos sobre o publico pagante).
