Following a review of the scans, it has been determined that the champion suffered a bone bruise to his rib and cartilage injury during training. Na última vez que ocorreu lesão com o Aldo, eles esperaram a confirmação médica para dizerem se ele poderia competir ou não, para só depois divulgar na mídia - com o UFC avisado e tudo.
