Todd Brown vs. Tim Boetsch

Round 1

Not a whole lot of action in the first two minutes. Boetsch lands a couple kicks but nothing damaging. He then pushes Brown up against the cage and kicks out his leg to send him to the mat. Brown is right back up, but he is wobbled by a hard punch. Brown is not hurt badly and he re-engages when Boetsch backs off. The pace slows down as the fighters begin to tire. Sherdog scores round one 10-9 for Boetsch.

-Tim Boetsch (11-3) vs. Todd Brown (11-1)

R1 – They trade few blows to open the round before Boetsch presses Brown against the cage and starts stomping on his foot. Boetsch works on Brown’s legs for a bit with knees then trips him to the mat. Brown makes his way back up where they remain clinched on the cage. Boetsch opens up, landing a knee to the chin then rocking Brown with some hard punches. Eating another knee to the head, Brown presses Boetsch into the cage, clinching in defense. The referee quickly breaks them and Brown lands a kick to the head then follows with a backfist. The action then slows until the end of the round.

Round 2

Brown locks in double unders and drives Boetsch into the cage. Boetsch gets an under-over clinch and pushes Brown off. Brown scores with a hard low kick. Brown scores again with a right-hand lead. The crowd is growing restless again. The fight is following a tedious pace and the boos are flowing. Brown is moving forward, but that is the only thing distinguishing him from Boetsch over the past five minutes. Sherdog scores it 10-9 for Brown.

TIM BOETSCH VS. TODD BROWN

Round 1 - Referee Marcos Rosales in charge of the light heavyweight contest. Brown feigns a few jabs. Boetsch with a low kick. Boetsch kicks to the body, then a front kick. Brwon with his hands low. Boetsch lands a right hand and scampers away. Boetsch bullrushes into a takedown, but Brown defends well. Knees traded inside as Boetsch pins Brown against the cage. Boetsch drives a few right hands into the ribs. Brwon tries to spin off, but Boetsch pushes him back to the cage. Brown drops to the floor, but Boetsch pushes him against the cage. Brown stands back up, but Boetsch just smothering him on the cage. Brown finally spins free, but Boetsch tags him with a combo. Brown is wobbles. Boetsch lets him off the hook and moves into clinch. They break briefly, but they return to the clinch quickly. This time it's Brown on the outside. He stalls there, and Rosales restarts it. Brown lands a high kick and then kick to the legs. Brown with a spinning backfist. Boetsch front kick to the face. Boetsch tries to hip toss Brown but misses. Fun series. Slow action in the final seconds, and MMAjunkie.com sees the first for Boetsch, 10-9.

Round 2 - Brown jabs early and misses with a wide hook before moving into the clinch. Double underhooks for Brown, but he's really just pressing into the cage. Boetsch lands an uppercut to the gut. They break the stalemate one minutes in. Traded jabs. Boetsch lands to the body. Brown jabs again and kicks to the leg. Boetsch moving his head well and creating angles, but this is not a firefight. Boetsch leads with a knee. Brown breathing heavily. Brown with a lazy kick that's held momentarily by Boetsch. Boos through the arena. Boetsch moves into the clinch behind a knee. There only momentarily. Boetsch kicks to the thigh. Brown lands a nice head kick. Jabs by both. Brown with an outside leg kick. Boetsch light and moving around. Brown working a jab but little else. Crescent kick from Brown, who looks comfortable. Right hand from Brown. Boetsch grabs his eye, and he's cut above the left eye. It's a slow round, and MMAjunkie.com sees it for Brown, 10-9.

R2 – Brown immediately clinches and presses Boetsch to the cage. They separate and start looking to trade strikes. Boetsch lands a good body shot. Brown comes back with an overhand right. Neither fighter lands much through the middle of the round, both appearing a little gassed. Brown lands another head kick with about 1:30 left in the round. Boetsch tries to get a rhythm going, landing a few shots, while avoiding most of Brown’s. Brown lands another overhand right just before the end of the round that opens a cut on Boetsch’s left temple.

Round 3 - Brown takes the center. Boetsch misses with a high kick. Brown moving his hands around quite a bit. Boetsch kicks the legs. Boetsch telegraphs a takedown and Brown just steps away. Brown moves into the clinch one minute in. Boetsch spins away and they break. Jabs traded. Boetsch ducks in for a single leg and gets it. Boetsch briefly holds an arm-triangle choke from the top, but he lets it go. Brown backs up to the cage, and Boetsch wraps his left arm around the neck. Boetsch can't get the choke, but he is on top. Brown scrambles underneath, but Boetsch controls the head from north-south. He spins to the side, and Brown works back to his feet. They break with a little less than two minutes. Right for Boetsch and his cut has opened back up. Not in the eye though Brown's right cheek marked up. Brown sticks with the jab, but not much zip there. Boetsch using combinations. Not terribly powerful but scoring points. Brown into the clinch, and Rosales doesn't let it stay there long. Driving double-leg from Boetsch lands and probably seals the fight. Brown with guard underneath, but there's not much time, Punches from the top until the bell, and MMAjunkie.com gives the round to Boetsch, 10-9, as well as the fight, 29-28.

R3 – They come out swinging, but neither landing much. Boetsch sneaks in a couple good leg kicks before they clinch on the fence, Boetsch with his back to the cage. They separate briefly before Boetsch shoots and takes Brown to the mat, landing in his half guard. Boetsch locks up a guillotine choke, Brown pressed against the cage. Brown defends, but Boetsch remains in control from north-south position, before they return to their feet and then split. Boetsch is stalking Brown, landing little one-off pot shots here and there. Brown clinches and presses Boetsch to the cage with less than a minute left in the fight. They are quickly separated and Boetsch scores a double-leg takedown, landing in full guard, finishing the round with his ground and pound attack.

MMAWeekly.com scores the round 10-9 and the fight 30-27 for Boetsch

Hendricks x Brenneman agora. Essa luta vai ser boa, e será uma "revanche". O Hendricks já derrotou o Brenneman numa luta de wrestling em 2004. Apostei no Hendricks.
